A Cumbrian school gathered students from Year 11 and Year 13 to celebrate their time in education at a recent celebration at Carlisle Cathedral.

On May 3 Year 11 students from Trinity School came together at the iconic building to celebrate their senior prize giving.

Subject awards for approach to learning were received by 28 students and an award per form was given for courageous advocacy, to students who embody an ethos of action taking, through charity work in the community or through their involvement in school life.

The final awards were the Trinity school awards for sporting, musical and drama commitment, plus two special library awards. The musical interlude was provided by Leo who played ‘Tuxedo Jazz’ on the piano.

Year 13 students walked over to the Cathedral at the end of their official leavers day on May 10.

Mr Winter, head of sixth form, announced the winners of the subject and courageous advocacy awards.

In addition to Trinity school awards, the school also thanked Lucy, Spandana, Millie and Liam for being school captains over the past year.

Chair of governors, Mr Brian Armstrong, presented all of the certificates to the worthy recipients and shook a lot of hands.
