A Cumbrian pub will be offering a new menu after installing a wood fired pizza oven.
The Queen’s Head at Askham, sister pub to Michelin-starred Askham Hall, will launch its new menu of wood-fired pizzas, sides and puddings on Friday, May 3.
The kitchen has undergone renovations since late last year with the installation of an Italian-made Marani oven, capable of cooking seven pizzas at a time on its rotating floor.
The oven complements their seasonal offerings as toppings such as wild garlic, mushrooms, chillies, sausages, and chicken, will all be sourced from their own produce.
Enjoying the new menu will be easy as it will be served Thursday through Monday from 12pm until 7.30pm with no bookings necessary—guests can just show up.
Charles Lowther, owner of The Queen’s Head said: "We’re excited to launch our new menu – which will be true to the field-to-fork food philosophy we have in all our places and feature as many home-grown ingredients as possible."
The Queen's Head is part of CIEL HOTELS. For more information, visit the Queen's Head Askham website.
