Farmhouse sells for £376,000

A FARMHOUSE and more than 30 acres near Carlisle sold at auction for £376,000 this week.
Mallsburn at Roweltown is a four-bedroom farmhouse surrounding by grazing land and a range of outbuildings.
The auction was held by C&D Property Services at Longtown Memorial Hall and attracted a large crowd of potential bidders.
The farm, which comes with planning permission to convert the slate outbuildings to three holiday cottages, sold to a local buyer.
A 4.5-acre field at Hoskethill, Kirkandrews-on-Eden was also sold at the auction.
The field has road frontage and is suitable for arable or grazing.
Competitive bidding pushed the price to £38,000 (£8,350 per acre). It sold to a local farmer.
