Roll on the next show. Meanwhile...

Carlisle Musical Society, St Bede’s Church Hall, CarlisleYou can’t help but admire this bunch of Thespians. Its no secret that the Carlisle Musical Society is concentrating on fundraising just now in order to get back to the big stage with all singing/dancing musicals we have come to expect from them.

But something lovely is happening on the way and it’s these concerts that they are putting on.

As the lights lowered on Saturday it wasn’t long before you forgot where you were and, with a shimmer curtained backdrop, expert lighting and great sound they rolled out those big show tunes as only they can do.

The whole show was packed with gems – impossible to single out an individual performance.

The performers work as a unit and Carlisle is very lucky to have them. So next time you see a poster, buy a ticket and support them they deserve it. It will be the best fiver you ever spent.

Keep it coming and well done.
